Important Notice - The Practice is now using AccuRx and Skype to carry out video consultations when appropriate. For more information please click here.
We are working hard at the practice to keep you and your family members safe, whilst also still keeping our staff safe and maintaining staffing levels.
We would ask that you follow all Government advice around facial coverings and social distancing particularly when you attend the practice.
We are trying to limit non-essential attendances at the practice so wherever possible please telephone rather than visiting the premises with adhoc queries. Most of the things that we do, on a day to day basis, can be done via the telephone. This ensures that you are kept safe from potential contact with anyone who may have symptoms of coronavirus.
Most of our appointments will remain as telephone appointments for the foreseeable future unless one of our clinicians specifically requests that they see you for a face to face appointment.
Thank you for your understanding during this time.

Welcome to Lyme Valley Practice
Welcome to the website of Lyme Valley Practice where you will find information about the services we provide and also some health advice and links. Please do let us know what you think and how we can improve our practice and this website.
Our practice is in Newcastle-under-Lyme and is committed to delivering high quality healthcare services to meet the needs of our patient population.
We are a great team offering a friendly and personal service. We offer 10 minute appointments with a choice of three GPs, three nurses, two health care assistants and GP trainees.
Our priorities include:
- Access to health care
- Addressing local needs
- Patient-centred care
We are interested in the views and comments of our patients so that together with staff and the Primary Care Trust we can respond to the changing needs of our population. We are developing a patients' forum and we regularly carry out surveys to help us gather views. Our comments box is located in reception and any comments are most welcome.
We will endeavour to keep you updated of developments at the surgery with a quarterly newsletter and on this website.
Named GP for all patients
All practices are required under their contract with NHS England to allocate a named GP to all patients, who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides for them.
HOWEVER, you can still see the GP of your choice, whenever you need to see a doctor – you don’t have to see your named accountable GP if you prefer not to.
New patients will be informed of their accountable GP on registration.
